BNA to CHS: I'm back from a hiatus this week with some news! I'm officially all moved in and settled in Charleston, SC for a clinical rotation to complete my Master's degree. As I start the semester, I can't help but look back on all the things that I did in Nashville since starting undergrad. But in the past few months, I've experienced a new side of the city and a new side of graduate school life. So, as an experiment and a fun reflection activity, I've tried to sum up my semester in 20 sentences.
Tuesday // December 19 // Day 7 I left NYC this morning. I don’t recall ever going on a trip before and being so sad to leave the city itself. I found a place in New York City that I never thought I would. So, I made a list of the 5 things that I will miss while I’m away from New York City - and I say away because I now that I will be back to this beautiful city.
This may be the city that never sleeps, so Christy and I have become people who practically never sleep. We went to bed late last night, and we tried waking up early this morning to walk through Chelsea Market. That didn't work, but we woke up around 9am. It wouldn't be a trip with Rachael without brunch.
The day started off sleepily today, but became one that I will always remember. This seems to be the sentiment every day of this trip. I woke up slowly this morning. I didn't set an alarm, and I didn't plan to wake up at a certain time. I just slept.
Wednesday // December 13th // Day 1. Yesterday morning I woke up at 5:30am half-awake, half drunk on the sleep I had just barely gotten that night. I was supposed to take an exam in the morning before my flight to NYC, but knowing I would benefit from some more study time, I chose to sleep in...
