…a twenty-something year old nurse practitioner with a lot of ideas about what I would love to do, but no clue about what I’m actually going to do. I’m from the South where our tea is sweet, our summers are humid, and our Saturdays are for football. In what little spare time I have, you can find me taking care of my succulents, planning adventure trips to somewhere new, and studying the latest fashion trends. I’m a nurse practitioner who takes care of everyone’s grandparents. My biggest adventure is trying to figure out life, love, and the pursuit of happiness, while slowly realizing just how much my Father loves me even when I feel like I fail in something everyday.
The Depth and Wonder
My goal is to show the wonder and excitement of the world in every moment of life. In what we do, where we go, what we eat, what we wear, and how we act. There is so much to explore in this beautiful and fantastic world, and I don’t want to miss the tiny moments of reflection when I see these beautiful things. I also don’t want to forget my Father who made these beautiful things and constantly blesses me with the opportunity to experience wonder at His world.
The beginning of this journey came from a moment when I was overwhelmed by the depth and wonder of His love. Read the first post on this blog HERE to see why this is called The Depth and Wonder.
I am a Believer in Christ. My life as a Believer means:
- A Call of Love – God’s love is the greatest power on Earth. The Old Testament constantly says that God’s “steadfast love endures forever”. (1 Chronicles 16:34) It is such an encouragement to know that God’s love will endure no matter what you do. It’s also a reminder that He does love us, compassionately and steadfastly and infinitely.
- A Call with Hope – As God’s love and compassion for us is made known, we have learned that God has given us a way to escape the sin that has ensnared us since the beginning of the human race. God’s love was so great that He sacrificed His only son, Christ. Because He did, Christ atoned for our sins such that we have a future with God! This fact gives us a light at the end of the tunnel. A hope for the future. A hope to live without sin and away from all pain and suffering.
- A Call for Action – Because we have this love of God, and the hope He gives us, we can see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel: a future no matter what happens to us. Because we have the hope, we have the determination to ENDURE. Christ calls for us to endure and to spread that hope to others through action. A call to action for the Lord. (Mark 16:15)
Christ is my love, my hope, and my reason for enduring whatever comes my way everyday.
