Y’all I’m sorry for the late post! I had the coolest opportunity to go to a jazz style speak easy on Thursday night, and I couldn’t pass up the chance! And then, life took over and the Lord filled my time with some incredible memories! So, here we are, two days late. Below are some of the Nashville murals that I have visited recently!
Nashville is a city of street art. From the sides of coffee shops, to the walls of parking garages, local and national artists have taken the time to make our city colorful. People stop for pictures in front of them constantly, including me. #guiltyascharged
It’s just that no one can resist the happiness that these beautiful and creative murals leave behind them! I’ve only covered a few locations in this post, because there are so many that I haven’t even been able to reach all of them!!
Hillsboro Village Mural
My sister and I LOVE this mural! It’s so colorful and has tons of food like pizza and pancakes!
The Famous Wings
The wings are in the heart of the The Gulch between Bar Louie and Milk & Honey. It’s perhaps one of the most noticeable murals in Nashville now, so have you really visited if you don’t have a picture with your wings?
The Color Wall
Relatively new, this beautiful wall covers the entire side of a warehouse-sized building. With it’s varying colors, you can get a different feel and vibe based on the part of the wall that you chose to photograph!
Green with Envy
Y’all – this wall is spicy. The colors pop, and the iron bars on the windows give this mural an urban and edgy feel. Love this one so much.
I Believe in Nashville
Classic. Enough said. Multiple sites in Nashville including one on the wall of Marathon Music Works north of Charlotte Ave. and another between Draper James and Edley’s BBQ in 12th South.
I ❤ Nashville
The Green Pea Salon Flowers
This is my sister’s favorite mural, and it is beautiful when they’re aren’t weird shadows on it!! (It’s between two buildings and the lighting can be bizarre.
Make Music Not War 🎶🎵
The Five Points Color Blocks
This colorful mural is on the side of one of the best local pizza places in Nashville. Five Point Pizzaaa – try it!! 🍕🍕
The Dancing Bears
On the way of Eastside Cycles, this mural will leave you dancing out of happiness! Grab some Bongo Java coffee too – right around the corner!
The Random Happy Acorn
The happy acorn, that is totally random, is painted on the wall of the Performing Artists Co-Op at 5 Points. It’s near the corner of Woodland Street and N. 11th Street.
BRAND NEW – Johnny Cash
This mural is cool because my sister and I saw the artist putting the final touches on the mural while we were there! It’s right next to the Happy Acorn!
West End/Sylvan Park
Three Brothers Mural
Head over to Three Brothers on West End and try the delicious coffee and the check out the beautiful black and white mural outside! Such a beautiful place and delicious coffee.
Both of these murals below are on the walls of Import Flowers Nashville on the corner Murphy Rd and 37th Avenue North.
